Hi my name is jon, I have a 8 year old son. Im a single father. Just to give you a bit of information when i was 16 i got a girl pregnant she didnt want it so she was giving me options that i couldnt work with. At the time we were dating but anyways she was giving me a choice to either allow a abortion (not something i agree with) or adoption (I dont agree with that either) so I talked her into haveing the baby and letting me take full resposibilty and leaving her out of the picture she agreed to do it so i now have this wonderful kid that im in love with (my other half) anything you can wish for in a kid he is it. I feel that i have to do my job as a dad and so much more since he has no mother figure around, dont get me wrong i enjoy it. I had my ups and downs in life because im still young but I do the best Ican. I had a good paying job working for a school district while my son was in school he was being schooled in one of the schools in my school district so i was able to be reached at any time so one day i get a call from the school nurse on the company phone and she was telling me my son has been puking and needs to go home to get some rest so I went to pick him up and took him back to the office so i can finish the work that had to be done and he was not looking so great he was still puking and like i was saying before im still a young parent without having any knowledge of what was going on so i leave work to go home and i call my mom to come over (she lives in the next town) because she is a registered nurse and might know what was going on so she came over and my son was sleeping and she didnt want to wake him so he can get his rest but she thought it could be a fever or flu or something of that nature so she went home and told me to give her a call in the morning to inform her on how hes doing and if he was still feeling badly my mom would come over or hell go to her house while i was at work but once he woke up he was saying that he felt perfecly fine and he wanted to go to school and looked normal so i took him to school and i went to work and got a company truck and went to my sons school so i could be close by and also to do some work their. so around noon or so the school nurse called again and she said that it is only worse than what it was the day before and i told her i wold be their in a few minuets because i was inside of the school so she told me to hurry and she said she will wait to call 911 until i get their and i asked her to call my mom and tell her to rush to the school while she was doing that i was scared to shit and running as if there is there was a stamped of bulls so when i get to the the nurses office it was full of friends (co-workers) so i was nervouse so we called 911 (not fun) and while all this is happening i was on my way to haveing some sort of breake down because all i was hearing was voices screaming and the 911 operator telling me to calm down and asking me what is going on and what has happend and i told her how my soon is at school im here with him and he was pucking in class and was really really red and a few minuets after being in the nurses office he has turned pale and passed out and was still unconcius as me and the 911 operator spoke so she was intructing me to do certain things and it was really hard for me to think let alone me trying to follow directions and everyone freaking out and my mom got there and my mom had a terrible look on her face while she was rushing to get things done as far as waking him up until help shows up.  so as im going crazy and pulling my hair out while talking to the operator and i undersand that she was trying to comfort me and asure me that help was on the way i could not take anymore so i hung up on her and had to get out of there before i go into shock myself so once i go outside i started to pace walk until help came and once they showed they went in grabbed my son put him on a gurney and took me my mom and son to the nearest urgent care the paremedic wasnt sure on what was going on. my mom the paremedic and fireman were all doing there job on the way to the hospital and they got him to wake up after 15-20 and we got to the hospital i couldnt bare to watch what they where doing to my son (needles mri,s brain scans ect)just all these differnt test so i waited outside again while i was ok knowing my mom was with him the entire time. im sorry if this isnt making since im just dont like talking about this it just drains my mood. but anyway the doctors were unsure until the three days living in the emergency room was up and the doctors came to me and my mom who hasnt been home since she has arrived to the school but when the doctors told us that my son had a sickness called aplastic anemia so at the time i was confused out of my mind due to lack of sleep and whatever else. and he also said that my son could either die or be crippled for the rest of his life so i raised hell and demanded that they do what ever it takes to not have him go throught either situation so we stayed one more night and the doctor came to talk to us the next day and he said there was good news at the time i was hoping that he was going to tell me we where all free to go and get back to our normal lives prescribe us some meds and walk us out the door,no. he was letting me know that the good news was that my insurance has approved and that the childrens hospital has a bed waiting and all that will need to be coverd by me was the transport bill and he will be leaving in 5 to 6 hours so he was giving me and my mom time to get to our houses and get showered and get a change of clothes and get back to the hospital so once we get ready and back to the hospital my son was ready to be loaded on the truck so we followed the ambulance to the childrens hospital and it was horrible so once we got there and we were going to my sons room me and my mom just stoped and kinda had a emotional break down looking at all the kids with there problems and my sons condition was getting to me so i met the nurses and doctors they did a couple test and they where telling me the condition hasnt approved. And they will need to do a transfusion and that did not work it only caused a blood infection so he almost died. It hurts just thinking about it. he has had a bone marrow biopsies and it was all the ultimate hell. the doctors kept us their for 3 and a half months until we where able to leave so within this time my job had to let me go and fill the position i wasnt able to pay rent bills or car payments so i lost my apartment, gone completley broke and my car i had to turn it in for voluntary repo and move into my moms house. i had to be at the hospital all the time my mom was there alot also but she couldnt be around as much anymore because she couldnt miss work so we went back to her house so i can pick up one of her spare cars and go back just so i had some tranportation so anyways a week later my son was dischargerd because insurance issues and we where to be back at the hospital everyday for treatment just to remind you this is a hour and a half drive from my town one way so im buying gas with money i dont have and my mom cant afford it any longer but it is a must to get their and on top of that since im haveing the insurance problem they are soon going to cut off my sons treatment and without the treatment this nightmare can happen all over again for my son me and my mom so this is the part when i start crying and begging for any donations any at all it will help us alot for numerous things my sons treatment gas a new home so we can be closer to the hospital so please im begging for the sake of my son so he can have a better life without the complications donate what you can and we will thank you the best way we can I have paypal   my e-mail is jonathanturner667@sbcglobal.net    please email me if you have any comments
